- **Preference given to Former/Current Law enforcement and Military; however, individuals with relatable experience will be considered**_

**Training provided**:

- Criminal code
- Verbal Judo
- Verbal Intervention
- Powers of Arrest
- Use of Force

**Required Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent)
- Class 5 license with no more than 3 demerits
- Clean criminal record/vulnerable sector check (maximum of 3 months old)
- Standard First Aid/CPR

**Competency Requirements**:

- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to understand and implement site-specific post orders
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing goals set out by management and clients
- The ability to interact respectfully and compassionately with vulnerable populations while acting as authorized agents on behalf of our clients
- Be physically fit and possess the ability to lift up to 100lbs
- The ability to effectively de-escalate individuals and demonstrate problem solving in high stress situations

**Additional Assets**:

- Previous experience in the security field
- Current security related certification by a Provincial body
- Advanced First Aid/Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support certification
- Use of Force Certification (PPCT/CTSS)

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Securing premises and personnel
- Patrolling property
- Monitoring surveillance equipment
- Inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points
- Controlling access
- Incident report writing
- Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities
- Maintaining the organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
- Other duties as assigned

**Above all, team members of Risk Control are expected to perform their duties in a professional and courteous manner while looking for every opportunity to build rapport with partnering agencies and members of the community.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
