OverviewBrandt is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist for the Atlantic region reporting to our Halifax Construction & Forestry location. This position is responsible for product support, training, product development, and testing. Additionally, the Technical Support Specialist will assist in developing innovative strategies and applications to assist our sales team and clients realize the full potential of our positioning systems.The Technical Support Specialist will work hands-on with some of the most innovative positioning technology available including machine automation, 3D scanning, mobile mapping, GNSS and robotic instrument solutions along with powerful cloud based software solutions.ResponsibilitiesSupport product development, testing, and training.Develop innovative strategies and applications to aid sales and clients in realizing the full potential of positioning systems.Work hands-on with positioning technology including machine automation, 3D scanning, mobile mapping, GNSS, robotic instrument solutions, and cloud-based software solutions.Required SkillsFamiliar with machine automation, GNSS, robotic and conventional positioning systems.Understanding of survey field and office software.Aptitude for related technology.Good organizational and problem-solving skills.Required Experience3+ years of directly related experience preferred in construction, land surveying and/or engineering.Knowledge of Brandt product lines and heavy equipment is an asset.Preference for candidates with a Geomatics/Civil Engineering diploma or Electrical Engineering diploma.Extensive travel is required to various locations; a recent driver’s abstract is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
