Tactical Security Team Lead Specialist- Respite

West Egg Security is looking for a Tactical Team Lead Security Guard, with minimum 2 years of Canadian supervisor security experience and 1 year of security guard experience (Tactical Security), who can provide a highly visible, advanced level security service involving an array of duties and posts at Respite sites. Servicing the site in a professional, competent, and courteous manner. We are looking for an individual who will work with integrity, respect, and take responsibility for security which will ensure the safety of everyone on site. What you will do:
- Assisting the supervisor on site in managing the team and ensuring daily duties are completed.
- When the supervisor is unavailable, the team lead will manage the team as a supervisor for the day.
- Recording and maintaining logbook of daily activities, unusual occurrences, and issuance of equipment to staff.
- Providing Security Guard Services at Respite Sites, through operating Security Systems, monitoring, and patrolling.
- Monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to routine, emergency, and security & law enforcement calls.
- Recognizing, investigating, and acting on possible breaches of security, fire and safety hazards, prohibited entry, theft, and utility interruptions.
- Informing designated authorities in the event of security, fire, or health emergencies.
- Activating fire alarm and safety systems and assisting in evacuation procedures.
- Escorting designated authorities, police, fire, and ambulance personnel to emergency locations.
- Screening unauthorized persons and removing individuals found trespassing or engaging in criminal acts.
- Receiving and recording complaints, conducting investigations, preparing incident reports, and following up on investigations.
- Performing emergency response duties in accordance with the Emergency Response Manual.

Who you are:
- Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education.
- Minimum of two (2) years of security-related experience (preferably tactical) in Canada.
- Extensive knowledge of the Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, and 5 Steps to a proper Arrest.
- Minimum (2) years of supervisory security-related experience and 1 year of security experience (preferably tactical). A diploma/degree from a Canadian institution is required.
- Must possess a valid Security license.
- Excellent written & verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Able to work nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
- Must be able to walk/stand for long periods (preferably 12 hrs).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week

- Continental rotation (one week Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; second week Wednesday and Thursday).
