We've been HAVAN members for several years, and frankly, we haven't been as active as we should be. That's precisely why we're hiring. We need someone who will be our face in the community, attending events, building relationships, and representing what we do at every HAVAN function, trade show, and industry gathering. What We Do Since 2005, we've specialized in premium custom storage solutions, including closets, garage systems, and kitchen cabinets, for residential projects across Greater Vancouver. We manufacture in-house, work with quality materials, and maintain a high close rate. Most of our builder and designer partnerships come through referrals, which is exactly the model we want to grow. We're looking for someone who understands how this industry works and knows that the best business comes from relationships. The Role (Not Your Typical Sales Position) This isn't about quotas or closing deals. Our design consultants handle consultations and close projects, and they're excellent at what they do. Your role is simpler and more strategic: Build the network of builders, designers, and architects who trust Clever Quarters enough to refer their clients to us. What that looks like day-to-day: Proactively identify and reach out to new potential partners through cold calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn Develop and maintain partnerships with builders, designers, and architects throughout Greater Vancouver Attend industry events (HAVAN, trade shows, design forums) representing Clever Quarters Host lunch-and-learns, showroom tours, and educational sessions for potential partners Be our consistent presence in the homebuilding and design community What it doesn't include: Managing projects or installations Closing sales (that's what our design team does) If you're someone who gets energized by connecting people and building long-term partnerships, and you're comfortable letting others handle the close, then this role could be an excellent fit. Who We're Looking For 5+ years in B2B sales, business development, or account management within the residential construction industry Experience in custom cabinetry, interior design sales, building supply, renovation, home improvement, or related trades Understanding of how builders and designers operate, make decisions, and select partners Proven ability to generate referral-based business (not just direct sales) Comfortable using CRM systems to manage relationships and pipeline Your Network & Approach: You already know people in Vancouver's homebuilding and design community, or you have a track record of building networks strategically You're comfortable at industry events and know how to work a room without being salesy You understand the value of showing up consistently and building trust over time You're the type of person who introduces people to each other even when there's nothing in it for you Practical Requirements: Based in Greater Vancouver with reliable transportation Available for evening events and occasional weekend trade shows Comfortable working on-site from our Port Coquitlam location (not a remote role) Self-directed and organized. You'll manage your own schedule and priorities Compensation & Structure We believe in rewarding performance without creating a transactional culture.
