Business Development Manager – DSL Canada DSL Canada specializes in selling and servicing commercial foodservice equipment for businesses across Western Canada. Role Description This is a full‑time hybrid position as a Business Development Manager located in Port Coquitlam, BC, with flexibility for some remote work. The Business Development Manager will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. Key responsibilities include conducting market research, developing strategies to attract new clients, managing the sales pipeline, and collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. The role requires a proactive individual capable of exceeding sales targets and maintaining a robust network within the foodservice industry. Qualifications Proven experience in business development, sales, and client relationship management Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills Ability to analyze market trends and create strategic plans Knowledge of the foodservice or equipment sales industry is an asset Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications Self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue targets Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred What you’ll do: Research, contact, qualify, prepare and present proposals to acquire new accounts Manage day‑to‑day relationships with existing customers by developing high‑trust advisor relationships Identify short‑term and long‑term sales retention and penetration opportunities Collaborate with the sales department and other teams to meet targets Create sales presentations and demos for potential clients Address client complaints or concerns Utilize your expertise from the food service industry to provide valuable insights to customers What you’ll need: Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills; we’re looking for the perfect fit for our team Desire to travel (great selection of road trip music strongly encouraged. For example: “All Star – Smash Mouth”, “Here I go Again – Whitesnake”, etc.) Results‑driven with a proven ability to succeed in achieving sales targets Be a DSL brand ambassador to internal and external stakeholders Be a highly motivated self‑starter with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward with minimal supervision Be a goal setter with an ongoing commitment to personal growth, learning, and skill development Demonstrate the ability to set individual goals, monitor the progress of objectives against targets, and develop corrective actions or recommendations to ensure goals are achieved University Degree / College Diploma Completed Professional Selling Skills or equivalent sales skill development course Embrace the opportunity to jump in and contribute in a hands‑on kitchen environment.
