Responsibilities Tasks Compile orders and instructions received from customers Organize tasks to accomplish the work Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization Arrange for maintenance and repair work Maintain work records and logs Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders Maintain vehicle operator work records Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment Organize and maintain inventory Negotiate for services and preferential rates Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods Supervisory Experience Ensure transport compliance with regulations Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Prepare reports for senior management Plan for changes to schedules and policies Plan and organize daily operations Evaluate daily operations As per collective agreement Group insurance benefits Pension plan Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Long term benefits Maternity and parental benefits Other benefits Free parking available Learning/training paid by employer Parking available Who can apply for this job?
