Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will manage warehouse distribution, transportation, procurement, and order fulfillment processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods. This role requires strong data analysis skills, familiarity with ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and experience with freight, 3PL providers, and demand planning. The Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in process improvement initiatives and maintaining seamless coordination across all logistics functions to support our company's growth and operational excellence.
Duties
- Coordinate warehouse distribution activities including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials management to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage transportation logistics utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to optimize routes and reduce costs.
- Oversee procurement and sourcing activities, including vendor negotiations, pricing strategies, and supplier relationships to support supply chain efficiency.
- Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 and other platforms like CMMS for inventory control, order fulfillment, and data analysis.
- Monitor freight movements, manage 3PL relationships, and coordinate shipping schedules to meet demand planning requirements.
- Implement process improvements related to packaging, order processing, and warehouse operations to enhance productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping & receiving transactions, procurement activities, and inventory levels.
- Support e-commerce logistics operations including order fulfillment and packaging for online sales channels.
- Conduct regular data analysis to identify trends, forecast demand, and improve overall supply chain performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during warehouse activities such as forklift operation and materials handling.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, supply chain management, or logistics coordination.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as AS400), and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in relevant software tools.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, pricing negotiations, and demand planning.
- Experience with freight management, 3PL providers, shipping & receiving procedures, and order fulfillment processes.
- Ability to operate or work around forklifts; warehouse experience is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and materials management.
- Ability to adapt quickly to process improvements and implement best practices in logistics operations.
