Purpose Of The Role/key Responsibilities: Support the team in all aspects of a client portfolio, working alongside the client engagement team to ensure all client deadlines and demands are met. Take ownership of client portfolio, which may include year end and management accounts, budgets and forecasts for selected clients. Manage and develop relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with services provided and identify opportunities to support clients. Display effective communication with clients and colleagues. Take charge of delivery of all aspects of client accounting work from start to finish, on budget, liaising with other departments to agree timescales and plan performance, and act to ensure delivery by all agreed deadlines. Perform work as required; oversee finalisation of all accounts, produce detailed reports and ensure all client queries are answered on a timely basis. Maintain and develop technical knowledge, undertake research of new legislation, identify opportunities for clients and advise accordingly. Participate in tenders/proposals for new work as required. Demonstrate working knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards – in particular FRS 102 1A. Experience and Skill Set Required: Relevant professional qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) – or qualified by experience. Previous experience of working in a similar role. Good working knowledge of client accounting systems such as Xero. Experience of handling a client portfolio. Experience of training junior members of the team. Experience of technical compliance and advisory work. Experience in utilising technology, cloud accounting software and implementing client‑driven solutions.
