This is an ideal opportunity for an individual seeking a Supervisor Railcar Repair role with a company that is growing tremendously and backed by a private equity firm. You will lead a team of dedicated railcar repair technicians to safely work around heavy equipment, railcars, and railroad tracks to coordinate and complete all railcar repairs. Reviews AAR Circular Letters, Maintenance Advisories, and Early Warning Letters, if applicable, have systems to communicate with all affected employeesTrain, support and enforce all employees to meet company and customer safety policiesConduct daily safety meetings and job briefings with mobile repair employeesAssist in scheduling jobs based upon employee's experienceFacilitates customer, AAR and FRA compliance auditsProvides information and advice to senior management on matters relating to safe and quality repair operationParticipates in customer on site safety programCollaborates with field employees and customers throughout the workday to identify and implement improvements / efficienciesSeeks new business opportunities and works to expand these operations, as appropriateIdentifies future leaders and creates individual employee development plansPerforms annual performance evaluations with field employeesLeads, monitors and trains on railcar repairsCompletes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Experience in a leadership role involving railcar repair operations, safety, and training
  • Knowledge and experience in non-destructive testing (NDT) or railcar repair

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to build trust
