Electrical Coordinator

**Job Overview**
Reporting to the Site Manager, The Electrical Operations Coordinator will primarily assist and support the Operation, Maintenance, and Engineering groups within an Industrial Refinery environment.
**Job Duties**
- Provide technical support to maintenance (trades/planners) and operations.
- Provide emergency technical support as required on a call-out basis.
- Identifies scopes of work for maintenance and Turnarounds and details the scope with work notifications.
- Support work planners in developing plans.
- Supports contract electrical specialty companies in the execution of their work.
- Develops Electrical Hazard Assessments to support the Safe Work Permit process for Operations, Maintenance, and Capital projects (approximately 140 EHA issued per year).
- Develop switching orders for maintenance trades to follow to safely operate the refinery medium/high voltage systems.
- Deliver training and mentorship to the Maintenance Electrical System Operating Group (MESOG).
- Develop electrical work practices as necessary to support electrical safety and ensure compliance with site/Suncor standards.
- Research information on obsolete equipment and obtain suitable replacements.
- Support capital projects and ensure designs meet Suncor Standards and are properly installed, maintained, and commissioned.
- Support operations knowledge of electrical systems by providing support in development procedures/manuals.
- Update and maintain equipment information within SAP.
- Support ILP process as investigator/member for incidents with electrical focus to determine cause/corrective actions.
- Witness commissioning of electrical work performed in the refinery and ensure test records are received and documented.
- Optimizing PMs to ensure value and efficiency.

- Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing requests and consistently responds to all queries with a positive and forward-thinking mindset.
**Job Requirements**
- Journeyperson Electrical Certification with previous coordination experience preferred.
**Job Details**
- Located in Sarnia, Ontario
- Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day.
