Responsibilities Include:

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Ironstone’s development projects, primarily consisting of multi-family townhouse (and mid-rise purpose-built rental) projects, from inception to completion.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans for development projects, aligning with the company’s goals and growth objectives. Identify market trends, opportunities, and risks to inform strategic decisions.
  • Project Management: Manage and oversee the entire lifecycle of development projects from inception to closure. Ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Monitor city policies, market trends, and the overall competitive landscape;
  • Build and maintain positive relationships internally and with external consultants, contractors, municipalities, agencies and builders.
  • Influence stakeholders and hold them accountable for meeting schedules, quality requirements and obligations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, provincial and federal regulations, including zoning by-laws, building codes and environmental requirements. li>
  • Understand policies and permit processes of municipalities and federal, provincial and other legislative processes to navigate projects in a timely manner;
  • Planning & Development: Lead tasks related to project planning, OPA, rezoning, site plan application, design, approvals, permits, construction oversight, and site plan clearance/final delivery.
  • Evaluate, select, and liaise with all outsourced parties such as architects, engineers, traffic consultants, environmental consultants, and geological consultants;
  • Work with inside services or outside consultants to achieve project objectives. This could include leading tenders for planning or other services;
