KEY JOB ELEMENTS:

- Lead bid and proposal activities including negotiating scope of work, Terms and Conditions, cost and schedule for best value award

Develop and present (Procurement Strategy Review Board) / (Procurement Approval Review Board) and associated awards of subcontract or purchase order
- Support execution of the work including risk mitigation, issue resolution, payment plan management, delivery performance, review and approval of deliverables, cost to budget, and change management
- Track commodity trends, understand the market and industry, and research/explore new technology and/or capabilities
- Responsible for supplier development with respect to issue resolution, supplier relationship management, and the Intensive Management Process
- Forecast material sales and manage supplier activity to achieve the forecast
- Participate in design IPTs for new variant releases or new program launches
- Provide mentorship and coaching to other Buyers and team members

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- University degree or college diploma in business or supply chain related discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong negotiating skills and the ability to influence others
- Ability to travel (10% Cdn) and (10% US/Int’l) and possess / able to acquire and maintain a valid passport

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Previous Supply Chain Management experience
- Technical aptitude
- Financial aptitude
