Leading with innovative product lines and top-notch service are what separates us from our competition.Arpac is on the search to grow our team and we are seeking a Human Resources Manager to support our Alberta and BC operations You will be responsible for managing employee relations, injury management, leading our safety program, providing legal counsel to our employees and leaders, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department.RequirementsHR professional with at least 7+ years experience in a similar rolePost-secondary education in Business Administration/Human Resources is requiredExposure to the forklift industry (or similar) would be considered an assetMust be available to work on site.ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources and Employee SupportPerform meetings in coordination with management regarding performance or breach issues and exit interview/ termination meetingsInvolved in investigations for accident/ incidents, breaches, reports of violence/ harassment/ discrimination/ bullying investigationsRaise issues proactively with management, identifying practical solutions and help develop/implement appropriate actions plansSafety Program ManagementPerform site tours to identify and recommend continuous improvement in the area of health and safety and to ensure safe work practices are being followedManaging ongoing COR requirements including perform internal auditsReview and approve accident/ incident investigations, provide recommendations on corrective actions – follow up to ensure completionReview and approve contractor packages – liaise with contractors with unacceptable compliance standardsInjury ManagementManage the BC Worksafe and Alberta WCB accountsManages accident/incident investigations and follow through to ensure completion in all branchesManages LTD and medical (not WCB related) claimsLegislative/ Legal ComplianceProvide pragmatic and consistent advice and coaching to managers and employees. This includes but is not limited to employee/ employer relations, attendance, performance management, discipline, hiring and termination and legislation interpretationComplies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.Day to DayAttend safety meetings in Alberta and BCManagement dutiesPeriodic travel to Calgary and Vancouver Branches as requiredPerksCompetitive salary and benefitsExtended health benefits package including health, dental, critical illness, life insurance, travel insurance, and more; with premiums paid by ArpacRRSP matchingDisability benefits package paid by employeesSocial events, an established reward & recognition programs and much moreExpected Annual Salary: $110k-$135kApply Now
