Our team in Canada is growing, and we are currently recruiting a Procurement Specialist to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in the Vancouver office. About the Role Develop purchasing strategies and achieve overall best value for the supply of materials and equipment in coordination with the project team. Improve lead‑time performance within the procurement process, ensuring scheduled deliverables are received as planned. Set up the project delivery schedule, outlining relevant milestones and expediting supplier engineering deliverables for review. Conduct meetings with suppliers and clients. Coordinate and prepare EOI’s and RFPs. Maintain purchasing and expediting information related to the project deliverables, drawings, specifications and other documents by updating schedules and expeditor system modules. Administer procurement cycle processes through effective control of the pre‑qualification stage, bid evaluation, recommendation of award, expediting, inspection, delivery and close‑out. About You Degree or diploma level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. 3 to 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in consulting engineering or within a project environment. Experience with EPC/EPCM procurement automation systems such as Smart Plant Materials. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail. Mining projects experience is an asset. Ability to meet tight deadlines and provide exceptional service to clients. Exceptional negotiating and networking skills would be a definite asset.
