**Responsibilities**:
- Market Research: Familiarize yourself with the local Vancouver market, farms, and supplier resources to understand sourcing channels for food materials.
- Sourcing: Identify high-quality suppliers based on company needs and build long-term partnerships with them.
- Price Negotiation: Negotiate the best prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers to maximize company benefits.
- Procurement Planning: Develop procurement plans based on restaurant operations, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of food materials and manage complaints or returns in case of quality issues.
- Cost Management: Optimize the procurement process to reduce costs while maintaining an efficient supply chain.
- Documentation: Maintain records of contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant documents for transparency and traceability.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and market changes to provide insights for company decision-making.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful vendor management.
- Familiarity with sourcing strategies and market analysis techniques.
- Proficient in using procurement software, particularly SAP or similar systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in evaluating prices and supplier capabilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
**Requirements**:
- Experience: At least 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Vancouver’s local farms and food suppliers, with a strong professional network.
- Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to independently develop and maintain supplier relationships.
- **Language Proficiency**: Fluency in English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct market research and analyze data to adjust procurement strategies.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling unexpected procurement needs.
- **Driver’s License**: A valid BC driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
