About the RoleWe’re looking for a curious, capable, and hands-on leader to build our Supply Chain function from the ground up. You will design the systems, establish the processes, and lead the team needed to support procurement, logistics, production and capacity planning, and inventory management. Working with colleagues across the company, you will collect and use data to support planning, keep materials moving smoothly, and continuously improve operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record in a high-growth environment—particularly in life sciences—and experience operating at the intersection of manufacturing and services.What You’ll Be DoingProcurementDesign and maintain procurement workflows that are scalable, automated, and audit-ready.Develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships, including negotiation and performance oversight.Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and Service Lab leaders to forecast material needs using data-driven models and increasingly automated tools.Operational PlanningLead overall internal production planning/capacity and execution processes in collaboration with operational leaders to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely performance.Responsible for ERP system data integrity, accuracy and overall performance functionality.Facilitate development and maintenance of various operational/capacity resource models to assist in resource planning and budgeting.Inventory ManagementOwn the company’s inventory systems and processes, ensuring tight integration between the ERP and Nomic’s internally developed LIMS, which serves as the central hub for operational data.Develop and implement an overall inventory carrying strategies to optimize operational performance and financial stewardship.Oversee receiving operations: intake, verification, and system entry of inbound materials.Maintain accurate physical inventory across all storage sites, with responsibility for material movement, reconciliation, and audit readiness.Ensure end-to-end tracking of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished product.Monitor and analyze lot traceability, shelf life, cost structure, and inventory variances.About YouYou’re naturally curious, quick to learn, and energized by solving problems collaboratively and across disciplines. You’re flexible in how you work with others, comfortable navigating change and ambiguity, and trusted by your colleagues to bring structure without rigidity. You’re excited to be one of the first leaders of this function, knowing your work will help enable scientists to better measure and understand biology.What You Bring10+ years of diverse experience in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing roles, ideally within life sciences tools or related sectors5+ years leading and developing teams, with a strong track record of coaching, mentoring, and performance managementProven success implementing scalable processes and systems in a venture or high-growth environmentAbility to motivate, coach and educate colleagues in operational excellence and quality system methodologiesStrong communicator with demonstrated ability to collaborate across scientific, operational, and commercial teamsProficiency with NetSuite is highly desirableAdvanced degree (e.g., MSc) in engineering, the life sciences, or a related technical field is a plus.About NomicNomic was founded to make biology easier to measure—and to enable scientists to extend lives by making proteomics accessible, scalable, and routine.
