Senior Account Executive, Strategic (East or Central Preferred) This role is open at Docker, a leader in application development, with a remote‑first culture that serves more than 20 million users worldwide. The Senior Account Executive, Strategic will manage and grow relationships with key strategic accounts, develop and execute strategic plans to increase revenue, and ensure exceptional client satisfaction. Base pay range $240,000 – $330,000 per year Responsibilities Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with strategic clients, acting as their primary point of contact. Develop a thorough understanding of key client needs and create strategic plans that align with their business goals and drive mutual growth. Achieve and exceed sales quotas by identifying and closing new opportunities within the assigned portfolio. Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and client feedback to inform strategic planning. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams— including marketing, product development, and customer service—to deliver a cohesive client experience. Provide accurate forecasts, track account metrics, and report on sales performance against goals. Lead contract negotiations, securing favorable terms for both the client and Docker. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience selling to large, complex Fortune 100 businesses, with a proven track record of exceeding targets. Strong communication, presentation, and influence skills at all organizational levels, including executive and C‑level. Experience delivering client‑focused solutions and managing multiple account projects simultaneously. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities, with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency with MEDDPICC or similar methodologies (e.g., Command of the Message). First 30 Days Gain deep knowledge of Docker’s products, value proposition, and competitive landscape. Build relationships with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, product, and support. Familiarize yourself with the strategic account portfolio and initial client interactions. First 90 Days Develop detailed strategic plans for key accounts, identifying growth opportunities and challenges. Establish clear KPIs aligned with client expectations and Docker’s objectives. Actively pursue new business opportunities and negotiate terms for renewals or new contracts. Implement a regular feedback loop to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction. One‑Year Outlook Meet or exceed initial sales targets and close new deals to expand business within existing accounts. Show measurable growth in engagement, revenue, and partnership depth with strategic clients. Duly establish yourself as a trusted advisor, moving beyond a sales contact. Drive process improvements based on yearly learnings to boost efficiency and client experience. Continue professional development, including leadership and advanced sales strategies.
