Job Title: Intermediate Infrastructure Team Lead

Our Client is seeking an Intermediate Infrastructure Team Lead to support operational infrastructure including CMDB and ensuring ITIL standards. This role requires onsite work 5 days a week in Edmonton. This may be a contract to hire or permanent position.

Must Haves:
  1. 5+ years as an Infrastructure Operations Team Lead with a broad technical expertise across multiple infrastructure technologies.
  2. Experience in developing and maintaining infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  3. Experience in creating and maintaining architecture and design standards for IT infrastructure components.
  4. Experience implementing and enforcing ITIL.
  5. Experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical direction and leadership for the IT infrastructure practice, aligning it with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  2. Develop and communicate a clear technical vision for the future of the IT infrastructure to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  3. Actively participate in the Solution Review Board, providing technical expertise and guidance on proposed solutions and initiatives.
  4. Offer technical advisory services to internal teams and stakeholders, helping them make informed decisions regarding infrastructure technologies and implementations.
  5. Validate vendor proposed designs and solutions, ensuring they align with organizational requirements and standards.
  6. Develop and maintain infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business objectives, outlining future initiatives and technology enhancements.
  7. Optimize current technologies and processes to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of IT infrastructure operations.
  8. Create and maintain reference architecture and standards for IT infrastructure components, ensuring consistency, scalability, and interoperability.
  9. Establish guidelines and best practices for infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
  10. Provide technical guidance and expertise to address complex infrastructure challenges and optimize performance.
  11. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform infrastructure strategy and decision-making.
  12. Offer technical architectural leadership, designing and validating scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.
  13. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) configuration and process.
  14. Ensure adherence to ITIL or similar frameworks to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  15. Maintain compatibility across all technologies within the IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and interoperability.
  16. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
  17. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IT infrastructure initiatives with broader organizational objectives and initiatives.
