Purpose:
Responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial retail and industrial properties in an efficient & effective way with the highest level of customer service to both tenants and landlords. Operate within our standards of safety, high quality customer service and efficient operations.

  2. Customer Service Relations:
    Maintain the highest level of customer service in relation to tenants, prospects and owners.
    Communicate effectively with owners, tenants and relevant others. Ensure that any areas of concern are addressed promptly and thoroughly.
    Direct and manage tenant functions in such a manner as to win and maintain the respect and goodwill of all tenants.
    Enforce tenant retention.
    Ensure all tenant and owner complaints are handled promptly and appropriately.
  3. Administration:
    Monitor the timely receipt and reconciliation of rent collections and ensure that owner statutes are followed. Communicate with tenants (verbal and/or written) about rent collections. If needed, organize tenant eviction process.
    Code and approve invoices from suppliers and contractors.
    Ensure correct and up to date management reports including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, variances and monthly inspection reports.
    Prepare yearly budgets for the relevant properties.
  4. Building Maintenance:
    Visual inspect relevant buildings, note deficiencies and prepare building reports.
    Develop scope of work for service contracts, negotiate pricing and prepare paperwork.
    Place service calls with contractors. Coordinate tenant space build outs.
    Coordinate Capital Projects.
  5. Other duties as required.
Scope:
  1. Report to the Director, Commercial Property Operations.
  2. Work in close cooperation with tenants, vendors, contractors, Property Administrators and Property Accountants.
Qualifications:
Education:
  1. Minimum High School diploma (Grade 12/13).
  2. College/University Degree, preferred.
  3. Any of the following designations, preferred: RCM, RPA, FMA, ACM.
Experience:
  1. A minimum of three years’ experience in commercial property management or a related field.
  2. Knowledge of on-site maintenance requirements including dealing with vendors and contracts.
  3. Experience with Yardi Voyageur, preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
