HR Supervisor

Location: Winnipeg, MB

We are excited to partner with Turning Leaf Support Services in the search for a talented HR Supervisor to join their collaborative team. This role, reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, will oversee the recruitment department in Manitoba, working closely with recruiters to manage sourcing, interviewing, and employment processes.

The HR Supervisor is responsible for updating existing recruiting processes and designing new ones as needed. This role includes supervising the recruiting team's objectives, progress, and outcomes, reporting on performance, and tracking recruiting metrics, as well as supporting employee relations.

The HR Supervisor is Responsible For:
  • Overseeing various HR activities including HRIS, recruitment, new employee orientation, and other HR functions, ensuring continuous process improvement.
  • Providing monthly recruitment KPIs.
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring Manitoba recruiters, HR students, and volunteers; reporting on performance and assisting in developing strategic HR plans.
  • Leading recruitment projects, updating policies/procedures, and managing job descriptions, postings, and interview packages.
  • Facilitating recruitment strategy meetings with Senior Management to review progress, upcoming projects, and monthly data analysis.
  • Developing effective recruitment strategies using web-based tools and manage Manitoba recruitment platforms.
  • Supporting HR in employee relations, performance meetings, and terminations.
  • Leading recruitment of management/office positions in Manitoba.
  • Staying updated on labor legislation and informing managers of regulatory changes.
You and Your Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an HR role.
  • Completion of a Post-Secondary Education in HR and Business Administration.
  • Knowledge of Provincial Labour laws, the Workers Compensation Board, Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health, current issues in HR, and best industry practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Heart for those struggling with intellectual and mental health challenges.
  • Clear Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector, Adult Abuse, and Child Abuse Registry Checks.
  • Ability to work in the office.
