ABOUT OUR OPERATION

The Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and/or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Innovation Director, you will be responsible for the realization and management of numerous technology implementation files for the organization. In particular, you will ensure technology watch, identification and clarification of customer needs, technological analysis, planning and monitoring technological tests and validating concepts. You will also be involved in the development of training and support documents for the implementation of technologies and will assist internal customers in the acquisition of new technological tools. Lastly, you will carry out the post-mortem of projects under your supervision and will lead the evolution of technological implementation on experimental learning processes.

You will be called upon to play a leadership and influencer role with customers to stimulate technological interest. You will have to build multidisciplinary work teams and create an environment conducive to collaboration and openness to increase success in the implementation of new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist and support the Innovation Director in the management of innovation projects, ensure the efficiency of the team and the organization of work;
  • Coordinating and supporting the implementation of innovation projects;
  • Manage various innovation projects;
  • Identify promising technologies and innovations for the organization;
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations;
  • Ensure that innovation projects are properly documented;
  • Communicate effectively with the various stakeholders (from idea to implementation);
  • Develop, create and maintain a network of contacts throughout the company;
  • Disseminate information and share successes for the benefit of all sectors of the organization;
  • Contribute to the positioning of innovation as a strategic pillar for the organization;
  • Promote the achievements of the innovation team.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Hold a college or university diploma in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, geology, metallurgy, management, etc.) combined with significant experience;
  • Knowledge of the mining field would be an asset.
  • Having a good knowledge of project management.
  • Possessing a good command of spoken and written French.
  • Proficiency in the use of the English language as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where English is the primary language.
Your Work Schedule
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. Possibility of 5-2-4-3 schedule;
  • Workplace: Possibility to work in one of AEM's offices closer to your residence in Rouyn-Noranda, Preissac, Val-d'Or, Mirabel or Toronto. There is a possibility to have a hybrid work schedule, working some days from an AEM office and some days in telecommuting. This position requires occasional travel to all sites, so the work schedule may vary according to need.
