Job Overview:  

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our sales team, manage critical operations, and drive revenue growth. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong sales background, exceptional team management skills, and a deep understanding of our product lines and market dynamics.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Sales Team Management:  

  • Lead and manage a team of 2+ salespeople and growing, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve sales targets.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment to enhance productivity and morale. 
  • Direct sales efforts towards Schnell Industries products including Sweep-All Turf Equipment, Transloader Conveyors, and Planter Hitches. 
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine sales strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Assist in closing day to day sales and cover for the sales team throughout the entire sales process, as needed.

Shipping Department Oversight:  

  • Ensure smooth operations of the shipping department to guarantee timely delivery of orders to customers. 
  • Address any issues or delays in shipping promptly and effectively. 
  • Work with the shipping department to resolve any disputes regarding delivery charges to customers promptly and fairly. 

Collaboration and Coordination:  

  • Work closely with the Sweep-All salesperson on larger, complex deals, providing support and expertise as needed. 
  • Collaborate with the Transloader salesperson on various deals, understanding operational details and facilitating sales processes. 
  • Assist in expanding the dealer network for selling Sweep-All turf equipment and Planter Hitches. 
  • Participate in video calls to provide sales support and address customer inquiries. 
  • Work closely with the marketing department, providing customer feedback related to ads, website, and promotional material. 
  • Support marketing initiatives and campaigns based on customer insights. 

Contract Review and Sales Support:  

  • Proofread purchasing contracts to ensure accuracy and alignment with company standards. 

Promotions and Sales Forecasting:  

  • Evaluate and execute sales promotions to drive revenue growth. 
  • Analyze sales history for Sweep-All turf products, Transloader conveyors, and Planter Hitches to forecast future sales accurately. 

Inventory Management and Production Orders:  

  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate production orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels. 
  • Collaborate with drafting and purchasing departments on new orders required for production. 

Product Feedback, Development & Market Research:  

  • Gather feedback from the sales team and customers regarding product improvements or new product ideas. 
  • Relay feedback to the drafting team and collaborate on developing new products to enhance revenue. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and threats. 

Pipeline Management & Exploring Subcontract Opportunities:  

  • Monitor and manage the sales pipeline effectively, ensuring a healthy balance between short-term and long-term opportunities. 
  • Research and identify OEMs for potential subcontract work to increase company revenue streams. 

Customer Relationship Management:  

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers to enhance loyalty and maximize sales opportunities. 
  • Establish a structured feedback loop to gather insights from customers regarding product satisfaction, service quality, and areas for improvement. 

Training and Performance Evaluation:  

  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills, product knowledge, and sales techniques. 
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for the sales team to assess individual and overall performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

Achieve Sales Targets:  

  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets set by the company. 

Expand Market Presence:  

  • Increase market share by expanding the company's presence in existing markets and exploring opportunities in new territories. 

Customer Satisfaction:  

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service, addressing customer needs promptly, and exceeding expectations. 

Productivity and Efficiency:  

  • Improve sales team productivity and efficiency by implementing streamlined processes, leveraging technology, and optimizing resource allocation. 

Revenue Growth:  

  • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies, cross-selling opportunities, and upselling techniques. 

Team Development:  

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales team to enhance skills, knowledge, and performance. 

Innovation and Adaptation:  

  • Encourage innovation and adaptation to changing market conditions, customer preferences, and technological advancements. 

Contribution to Company Strategy:  

  • Play a key role in shaping and executing the company's overall sales and growth strategy, contributing valuable insights and recommendations. 

Qualifications:  

  • Proven experience in sales management. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies. 
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools. 
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • In office position only, must be able and willing to commute or relocate.
