Acquired in 2018 by Tidan, this hotel is located in the heart of the Montreal metropolis. The Marriott Château Champlain is a 1-minute walk from the metro, accessible by an underground route, adjacent to the Bell Centre and also by 1000 de la Gauchetière. This iconic and emblematic hotel in Montreal was completely renovated in 2021, with 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, 25 meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 1000 customers. Job Description

The supervisor is responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the daily operations of our brand-new terrace. He/she supervises and participates in all terrace operations. He/she directs all service personnel, including servers, runners, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders. He/she is responsible for enhancing the guest experience in an exceptional setting and providing assistance that exceeds our customers' expectations. He/she always projects a positive professional image of a leader to colleagues and customers.

He/she provides an extraordinary experience from the customer's arrival until the end of the service while respecting the company's standards. He/she ensures customer satisfaction and receives complaints, if any. He/she conducts weekly inventory; participates in meetings with staff to inform them of news, events, or related activities that may affect traffic; ensures compliance with hygiene, sanitation, health, and safety standards at work; knows the food and beverage menu and leverages his/her expertise to maximize sales; must be able to answer menu-related questions; and ensures accurate billing and cash handling.

Functions

  • Ensure smooth operation of daily operational needs
  • Ensure all necessary equipment is available before service
  • Ensure good communication between the kitchen and the dining room
  • Conduct weekly inventory
  • Maintain and control inventory
  • Assist teams and colleagues
  • Manage reservations and traffic
  • Manage complaints
  • Stay up-to-date with new trends and practices
  • All other tasks necessary for the smooth operation of operations

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of beverages
  • Minimum of 2 seasons of experience in a management position in a high-volume terrace or restaurant
  • Bilingualism (French and English) since we have an international clientele
