Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing support in all areas of the Human Resources function for the Company. The responsibilities include:

  1. Oversee all HR functions, including performance management, employee benefits, job descriptions, policy development, training/development, and recruitment.
  2. Support, advise and coach leaders within the organization in accordance with local legislation and company policies.
  3. Implement company and departmental strategies to increase employee satisfaction.
  4. Promote continuous improvement in all areas.
  5. Manage performance management program in SAP SuccessFactors.
  6. Provide support for employee orientation, onboarding and off boarding processes including new hire employment documents, payroll coordination, and exit interviews.
  7. Handle employee exits, including terminations and drafting relevant documentation.
  8. Maintain a strong knowledge of HR practices and policies and recommend changes to improve processes.
  9. Research industry trends, advise on how to reward and engage the workforce, and stay up to date with changes to compensation and benefits offerings.
  10. Handle highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
  11. Work with business partner to understand resources and skill needs and obtain approvals for backfills, new positions, etc.
  12. Develop, execute, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the HR team.
  13. Track HR metrics, including turnover, recruitment, performance evaluations, and proactively action plan to drive continuous quality improvement.
  14. Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and provincial requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
  15. Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Skills and Qualifications
  1. Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  2. In-depth knowledge of relevant employment legislation.
  3. Flexible and willing to learn new tasks.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly articulate complex messages.
  5. Ability to create an atmosphere where employees feel free to express concerns and suggestions.
  6. Must be able to actively listen, demonstrate empathy, and maintain objectivity.
  7. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  8. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  9. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  10. Highly flexible and adaptable in order to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience

Minimum 2 years of progressive Human Resources experience within a large or mid-sized Company. Working knowledge with SAP SuccessFactors, (Employee Central, Performance, Goals, Recruitment, Onboarding, Learning and Compensation) and Kronos time and attendance is considered an asset. Experience within an aerospace or manufacturing environment is considered an asset.

Education

College diploma or undergraduate degree in related field. Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is preferred. Please note – the Company will conduct a criminal background check upon hire.
