This position will look after planning and budgeting, integrated financial planning, management, performance reporting, and forecasting and modeling. This role will also handle other reporting requirements as needed within other departments.

How you will make contributions that matter:

Budgeting, Modeling, and Forecasting

  • Create a budget model for both Brantford and Rolla locations.
  • Consolidate budgets.
  • Work with other departments to gain inputs on Sales, COGS, and Headcounts.
  • Satisfy reporting requirements on a quarterly basis of the budget.
  • Work with all systems and have working knowledge of all.
  • Automate the S&OP sales and cost center planning process.
  • Prepare bridges and comment on current month deviations.
  • Report actual, budget, and forecast on a timely basis and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Analyze financial reports to explain variances from budget or last year.
  • Collaborate with Head Office on projects and systems related to reporting.
  • Own the reporting process and find ways to improve.
  • Train others in Cognos and the reporting process.
  • Understand the impact on business and point out risks and opportunities.

Monthly Reporting

  • Prepare monthly management reports and analysis.
  • Prepare KPI reporting to satisfy corporate requirements.
  • Develop variance reporting for monthly and YTD reporting.
  • Further develop financial reporting.
  • Find ways to automate the reporting and variance analysis.
  • Engage with other finance team members to explain monthly and YTD performance.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Excel knowledge).
  • Strong technical, analytical, and systems skills.
  • Previous work experience with Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of Infor M3 is beneficial or other major ERP.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Financial Planning and Analysis role, working collaboratively with cross-functional leaders and finance stakeholders.
  • Reporting writing experience.
  • Experience as a Controller would be beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or working towards it.
