Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and professional Human Resources Assistant to join our growing team on a Part time or Full time basis with the possibility to increase in the future. The ideal candidate for the role is an organized, detail-oriented individual who can work in a fast-paced environment with exceptionally strong computer skills. Some working knowledge of the HRdownloads platform would be an asset.

Pennine Security Solutions is a privately owned, fully integrated security solutions company licensed and bonded in Ontario & Florida, specialising in condominium and event security. Pennine was founded on the premise of raising the level of service in the private security sector, enhancing professionalism throughout the industry and bringing employee appreciation to the forefront of the business.
Reports to: HR Manager
Location: Mississauga, ON Head Office
Job Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the HR Manager
- Development and maintenance of HRdownloads system.
- Provide assistance with guidance, direction, and support in relation to the following HR activities: policies & procedures, recruitment & selection strategy, performance management, employee relations, job evaluations, training & development, health & Safety compliance, and terminations.
- Provide operational support for all administrative functions pertaining to applicant recruitment and employee orientation.
- Assist with disciplinary procedures accordingly
- Regular administrative tasks as required for the role including some inventory control
- Help bring cohesiveness and company culture to field staff
- Improve and enhance communication between required parties and field staff
- Contribute to continuous improvement & best practices to influence HR strategies
- Assume responsibility for organizing corporate and social events
Job Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, or working towards it, preferred
- CHRL / CHRP designation, or working towards it is an asset
- Experience working with data and various spreadsheet platforms and strong technical knowledge.
- The energy and self-motivation to assist with implementing change
- The ability to work under pressure and a dedication to learning and development to grow within the company.
- Exceptional writing skills and ability to write effective HR-related materials, including job posts, guides for new and prospective employees, policy booklets and clear correspondence to employees
- Ability to work independently or as part of a larger team
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve
- A proven eye for detail, scale, and realism
We will provide:

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
