We source and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America to ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again

Who we’re looking for:

You’re a high-performer who doesn’t want to waste time, so here’s the two-sentence deal: We need an IT superstar support technician to lead the Service Desk team. In addition to your role as a technician and a leader, you’re going to be the escalation point for both internal customer service issues and technical issues from your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure team meets KPIs and provide updates to IT leadership
  • Be the escalation point for both the team and the customer
  • Provide guidance and training for the IT team
  • Run, participate in and delegate projects for the IT team
  • Administer internal IT helpdesk and Active Directory
  • Respond to IT support requests in a timely manner
  • Identify, facilitate and deliver on-going training of business systems to new and existing users
  • Proactively recognize potential problems/issues with system, infrastructure or hardware
  • Provide internal IT support to end users, including computer, phone, exchange, mobile device and two-way radio support
  • Assist with the implementation, deployment and operation of information systems and technology solutions for business needs
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology purchases; oversee warranties and service agreements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT Service Desk position
  • Post secondary education in IT, Computer science or related program
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot hardware and software for all aspects of the environment, including computers, printers, mobile devices, network hardware, cabling and phones
  • Knowledge of networking, operation system and service architectures in a Windows 10 domain environment.
  • Ability to explain technical concept and theories to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be able to respond to tight deadlines during regular and peak periods and to last minute demands and requirements
  • Organized, detailed oriented, ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability and desire to learn
  • Possess a high sense of initiative
  • Strong judgement and decision-making ability
  • Possess problem analyses and solving skills
