About Us

Established in 1976, Oakville Meals on Wheels is a local charitable organization dedicated to ensuring that no one is isolated, hungry or without human connection. With the support of its volunteers, OMoW enables independent living by providing equitable access to nutritious meals and opportunities for social interaction while ensuring physical and emotional well-being. Our Board of Directors has a crucial role in ensuring we continue to meet our goals and support our community while upholding our core values.

Candidate Requirements

  1. Expertise in human resource management
  2. Creating and implementing HR policies and activities of the organization
  3. Dedication to OMoW core values
  4. Previous membership to a non-profit board is an asset but not required

Board Member Requirements

  1. Attendance at monthly Board meetings
  2. Attendance at Annual General Meeting
  3. Committee Membership
  4. Support of, and participation in, special and fundraising events
  5. Financial support of Oakville Meals on Wheels
