Are you passionate about legal technology, modern digital workspaces, matter collaboration and legal process improvement? Do you have a track record with legal practice change management? Are you user-focused, results-oriented and action-driven? Joining Fasken, you will lead and manage complex projects and operational aspects of the Firm's Knowledge and Practice Innovation programs and initiatives. As such, you will manage a diverse national team of 2 to 4 people.

Legal Technology and Digital Workspace Operations
You will contribute to initiatives for evolving the firm's Knowledge and Practice Innovation programs, in particular those relating to legal technology, modern digital workspace, matter collaboration, legal process improvement and technology adoption; You will oversee the monitoring and tracking of modern and emerging legal work product technologies and their use in the market, trends in digital workspaces and matter collaboration, and best practices in these areas; You will be responsible for overseeing the Firm's legal practice technology toolkit including vendor and contract management, data governance and compliance with firm policies;Legal Technology
You will Work with the Senior Director, other Directors and Managers in the Knowledge and Practice Innovation team, Legal Technology Lawyers and practice groups to identify goals and objectives relating to practice efficiency and innovation, supported by off-the-shelf legal technology and process improvement; You will oversee pilots of legal technologies of interest to practice groups including testing, training, decision making and roll-out, and develop processes and methodologies for determining which products are appropriate for the firm;Digital Workspace
You will work with the Senior Director, other leaders in the Knowledge and Practice Innovation team and lawyers across the firm to identify objectives, requirements and projects related to a modern digital workspace and legal process improvement; Together with the Senior Director, oversee and lead the planning, development, implementation, operationalization, and adoption of digital workspace projects, ensuring progress against deliverables and budget, and managing stakeholder relationships and expectations through the process.Why join Fasken?

You have a law degree (LLB, JD) or equivalent; B.Comm or MBA is an asset; You have a minimum of three (3) years of corporate practice experience in a large law firm, corporate legal department or professional services firm; You have an excellent level of oral and written English and you have good knowledge of French. Bilingualism is preferred as this position is part of a national team. The role therefore requires the ability to interact with colleagues and internal clients across Canada; You have experience working with content management, practice management and collaboration systems and technology initiatives relating to legal practice. Knowledge of iManage, MSTeams, and SharePoint would be an asset; You have an affinity for technology and the ability to use logic to solve complex problems, with an interest in understanding and applying technical solutions to standardize legal processes; You have excellent organizational skills, enabling you to manage priorities well, improve efficiency and adapt to a fast-paced work environment; You demonstrate a high level of professionalism, rigor, judgment and initiative. Tu contribueras aux initiatives visant à faire évoluer les programmes en gestion du savoir et en innovation de la pratique du cabinet, en particulier ceux qui concernent les technologies juridiques, l'espace de travail numérique moderne, la collaboration sur les mandats, l'amélioration des processus juridiques et l'adoption des technologies. Tu encadreras la surveillance et le suivi : des technologies modernes et émergentes liées aux produits du travail juridique et de leur utilisation sur le marché; des tendances en matière d'espaces de travail numériques et de collaboration sur les mandats; et des pratiques exemplaires dans ces domaines. Tu auras la responsabilité de superviser la trousse d'outils technologiques du cabinet sur la pratique juridique, qui comprend la gestion des fournisseurs et des contrats, la gouvernance des données et la conformité aux politiques de Fasken.Technologies juridiques
Tu travailleras avec la directrice principale, les autres directeurs et les gestionnaires de l'équipe Gestion du savoir et innovation de la pratique, les avocats spécialisés en technologies juridiques et les groupes de pratique pour cerner les objectifs liés à l'efficacité de la pratique et à l'innovation, en t'appuyant sur les technologies juridiques prêtes à l'emploi et l'amélioration des processus. Tu superviseras les projets pilotes de technologies juridiques qui représentent un intérêt pour les groupes de pratique, y compris les essais, la formation, la prise de décisions et le déploiement. Tu es titulaire d'un diplôme en droit (LL.B., J.D.) ou l'équivalent; un baccalauréat en commerce ou un MBA représente un atout; Tu possèdes au moins 3 ans d'expérience professionnelle au sein d'un grand cabinet d'avocats, d'un contentieux d'entreprise ou d'un cabinet de services professionnels; Tu maîtrises l'anglais à l'oral comme à l'écrit et tu as une bonne connaissance du français. Le bilinguisme est souhaité puisque ce poste fait partie d'une équipe nationale.
