YOUR CHALLENGES

As the Technical Services Manager, you will supervise a team of Technical Supervisors and technicians, focusing 80% of your time on managerial duties to mentor and enhance their technical abilities and work efficiency. The remaining 20% of your time will be dedicated to technical work, supporting our clients in maintaining compliance with their specialized safety equipment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

80% Management Responsibilities:

  • Supervisory Tasks (13%)
  • Submit payroll in Dayforce;
  • Approve time off requests and expense reports in Dayforce and Certify.
  • Occasional Supervisory Tasks (7%)
  • Conduct semi-annual and annual appreciation of contribution review in Dayforce;
  • Operational Standardization (40%)
  • Develop and maintain national standards across all SAM locations.
  • Mentor and train technicians through hands-on work (ride-along/side-by-side development).
  • Collaborate with Sales (20%)
  • Assist in developing 360 offer opportunities in collaboration with the sales team.

20% Technical Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Inspection & Maintenance
  • Perform inspections and maintenance on specialized protection equipment (fall arrest, gas detection and respiratory protection) at client sites or SAM workshops.
  • In-Shop Tasks
  • Assess equipment needs and provide estimates to SAM coordinators.
  • Complete assigned repairs and related certification processes.
  • On-Site Tasks
  • Communicate with clients to confirm equipment location and follow site rules.
  • Complete contracted work, provide final counts, and log parts used.
  • Document any equipment removed from the site and secure customer signatures.
  • Inventory Control
  • Track and log all parts used in repairs for inventory accuracy.
  • Vehicle Maintenance (if applicable)

YOUR SPECIFIC MEASURES OF SUCCESS AND EXPECTED OUTCOMES

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • DEP, College Certificate, or Technical Diploma;
  • 5-10 years of experience in a relevant technical field;
  • Ability to communicate in French and English;
  • Strong technical knowledge of standards such as CSA and NFPA;
  • Valid driver’s license and passport for mobility and fieldwork;
