We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead a team in a fast-paced environment that is undergoing constant change. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all payments. The Accounts Payable Manager will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the organization through effective cash flow management and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable function.
  • Supervise and train Accounts Payable team, providing guidance and coaching.
  • Analyze accounts payable reports, perform reconciliations (GL/SL, GR/IR; Vendor Statements and etc.) on a regular basis with a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all invoices are accurately coded, approved, and processed in a timely manner, working with Shared Service for issues and/or discrepancies.
  • Work with Controller to drive continuous improvement: implement best AP practices, implement efficient processes, update procedures and policies.
  • Manage the team with clear communication, preset goals, and regular coaching.
  • Schedule regular meetings with direct employees and perform annual reviews.
  • Critical to delegate work assignments and projects to members of the team to resolve issues, increase processing times, and maintain clean subledgers.
  • Oversee the processing and distribution of payments to vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Being tactful and diplomatic when working with internal/external stakeholders to resolve payment-related inquiries or issues.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounts payable and 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to translate and communicate AP information clearly and precisely.
  • Team player demonstrating effective and cooperative working relationships with all employees at various levels.
  • AS400 and DataServ experience are assets.
  • College Diploma with a concentration in accounting or business administration.
