ABOUT THE ROLE:

At Plusgrade, Solution Consultants are critical technically focused commercial team members. They are the technical bridge between Plusgrades commercial and technical teams, and our industry partners and prospects in the air, cruise, rail and accommodations sectors. Plusgrade’s Solution Consultants can be thought of as technical advocates for the client to internal teams, as well as from internal teams back to the client. The role involves regular collaboration with all areas of the organization, including Sales, Partner Success, Product and Engineering, and Solutions Engineering team members work alongside their Commercial & Sales colleagues to create comfort, clarity and confidence in the Plusgrade product.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Technical expert on all Plusgrade hospitality products; leading strategic partnerships efforts and fostering seamless collaboration that drives innovation and integration.

• Partner with and support the Partner Success and Product teams to interpret customer requirements and deliver solutions

• Act as a primary technical expert in sales pursuits and existing account growth initiatives

• Develop and deliver product demonstrations and presentations that explain key technical aspects of solutions that will benefit customers and prospects

• Advocate for the client in a technical and engineering capacity during inception, build and delivery phases of key initiatives or launches as well as providing answers to client questions about our products, services, and other technical aspects of the product during the sales phases of discussions, both for current and potential customers, looping in the organizational subject matter experts when appropriate

• Work with the client to problem-solve through every hurdle during the sales process

• Collaborate on documentation and customer facing materials for a wide variety of uses from marketing and sales, to engineering and R&D

• Provide clear and accurate responses for RFPs and/or contribute technical solutions directly to proposals

• Conduct detailed transition presentations to the Plusgrade delivery teams at the start of new projects or implementations

• Willingness to travel as needed

• Create level of trust and confidence between prospects, customers and Plusgrade

YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:

• A solid, confident technical background, preferably in travel tech and ideally hotel revenue management and distribution software

• Proven entrepreneurial mindset: self-driven, proactive problem solver who takes ownership and independently creates successful outcomes.

• An understanding of the hospitality technical infrastructure of travel, how our solutions solve customer opportunities and how they connect with other aspects of our travel partners’ commercial and operating platforms.

• Strong ability to quickly comprehend and explain complex engineering or integration concepts in simple, effective terms

• Ability to work in concert with team members to build and deliver the most effective presentations that blend technical facts with tangible benefits.

• Curious in nature with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proven sales skills with an eye for results

• Diplomatic and persuasive communication skills that can easily navigate challenging engagements driving to a win-win outcome for all parties

• Coaching skills to help co-workers quickly understand and explain new and emerging technical concepts

• The ability to build relationships with clients quickly

• Strong networker who can reach out to customers and clients to offer support and assistance

• Knowledge of Hospitality IT systems especially PMS, Revenue Management, CRS, Upgrade and Guest Journey Tools, with great understanding of the complex technology landscape hotels are utilizing
