Our Transmission and Distribution Lines team is spread out across Canada, mainly in our Mont-Saint-Hilaire (head office), Toronto, and Edmonton offices. As part of Hydro-Québec's substation projects, you’ll be required to:

  1. Serve in various roles, including project leader and proposal leader;
  2. Help design high- and medium-voltage electrical substations;
  3. Prepare lists of materials and bills of materials, installation specifications and layout drawings in accordance with Hydro-Québec standards;
  4. Perform or check calculations to size equipment and select appropriate power cable gauges;
  5. Participate in site surveys;
  6. Ensure coordination with managers from other disciplines.

Overview of certifications and job requirements
  1. University degree in engineering;
  2. Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
  3. More than five years of experience in electrical apparatus projects at Hydro-Québec;
  4. Very good knowledge of specialized software such as MPI, MCT, CPI, and Logesdes;
  5. Knowledge of Hydro-Québec standards (GT, SN, TET, etc.).
