Tasks:
  1. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  2. Train, direct and motivate staff
  3. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  4. Manage training and development strategies
  5. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  6. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  7. Oversee payroll administration
  8. Recruit and hire staff
  9. Coaching
  10. Occupational health and safety
  11. Staff recruitment and selection
  12. Prepare payroll
  13. Prepare contracts and other papers
  14. Monitor safety conditions
  15. Interviewing
  16. Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans
  17. Establish procedures and implement policies
  18. Ensure compliance with government regulations
  19. Develop policies and procedures and attend to other management responsibilities
  20. Develop and implement health and safety plans
  21. Conduct training sessions
  22. Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals
  23. Conduct reference checks
  24. Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process
  25. Resolve conflict situations

Supervision: More than 20 people Staff in various areas of responsibility

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Human resources software, Technical terminology, Human resources
  • Specialization or experience: Employee engagement, Regulations knowledge, Knowledge of labour relations, Security and safety, Criminal record check
