Essity North America is looking for an experienced Key Account Manager – Consumer Goods. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for growing our business with established Canadian retail customers. Develop, negotiate, and implement account plans that meet Essity’s sales and marketing objectives, our joint customer business plans and strive to advance the customer’s strategic priorities.

This will be a remote position responsible for covering Ontario and Quebec. The ideal candidate should be in the aligned territory with ability to travel often.

What You Will Do

Calling on Canadian Drug and Retail Head Offices in Ontario and Quebec.

Develop strategy for future growth of designated customers through, leveraging channel strategies, trade investment funds, product mix, and tailored promotional programs.

Lead JBP process with customers.

Leverage Nielsen data and customer POS to develop fact based selling stories.

Leverage trade management tools to plan yearly investment to maximize sales.

Negotiate and gain commitment from accounts on programs which maximize value for investment.

Ensure committed executions execute smoothly and as per customer commitment.

Leverage TPM to plan, manage and evaluate investment ROI on trade funds allocated to each customer.

Work as a business consultant to assist customers to meet their goals and the goals of Essity.

Build solid multi-level business relationships with key decision makers and implementers at accounts.

Provide monthly and ad hoc business forecasting i.e. Sales & Investments by account by category.

Strong communication to keep cross functional team fully apprised on business and customer conversations.

Generate knowledge on market development/customer needs, competitor activities and distribute to internal stakeholders.

Complete retail store checks for business analysis purposes.

Maintain high level of expertise with customer data and vendor portals.

Complete required administration for accounts.

Who You Are

University degree or equivalent

Must be Bi-Lingual (French and English)

Minimum 5+ years’ Canadian Customer Head Office sales experience calling on one or more of Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, Walmart, Costco, Jean Coutu, Rexall, FamiliPrix, Drug Trading, Uniprix within the consumer-packaged goods industry.

Strong attention to detail

Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.

Demonstrated experience and success in project management.

Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and presentation skills

Proficient with MS-Office in the MS-Windows software, Excel pivot table, PPT, Outlook

Excellent team player and ability to work cross-functionally.

Strategic thought leader with the ability to provide strong data-based insights.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to multi-task under pressure.

Valid driver’s license and must meet Essity's Corporate Vehicle Policy Standards.

Travel up to 15% of the time; international travel required.
