Our client is looking for a Purchasing Specialist for an 11 month contract in Mississauga. This is hybrid role - 4-5 days onsite (Fridays typically optional.). There is a possibility of contract extension.
Pay rate: $31.00 / Hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

As a Purchasing Specialist, your duties will be:
- Supporting Day to Day Store Operations
- Processing store orders and validating deliveries for all fixtures, equipment and supplies
- Working with Catalogue Teams to resolve any shopping cart issues
- Managing Deliveries
- Partnering with vendors and logistics for timely delivery of fixtures, equipment and supplies to stores to complete strategic initiatives, real estate projects and store operations as per timelines and within budget
- Managing shipment/delivery schedule for orders created by the Construction Manager in real estate projects
- Creating and validating all PO's to eliminate late deliveries for items with long lead time, duplicate PO's and rush PO's
- Investigating and solutions to PO related issues
- Maintaining and updating catalogues for all business SBU's
- Maintaining and updating of kits / BOM's for real estate projects
- Adhering to process and programs developed to manage spend with strategic sourcing
- Leveraging forecast tools and following guiding principles provided for more efficient workflows in the planning and execution of programs / projects
- Overseeing and working with all cross-functional partners on Return Authorizations and overage exit strategies
- Liaising with cross-functional partners to optimize centralized purchasing activities approved by Finance
- Monitoring budget spend for fixtures, equipment and supplies on all real estate and strategic projects
- Reviewing trend analysis of project spend to improve controls and efficiency of processes
- Managing flow for bulk purchases and imports
- 3 years' experience with SAP system
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Ariba system experience is required
- Extensive experience in writing and editing content for process improvement or development of new process
- Advanced writing skills with superior vocabulary, excellent grammar and attention to detail
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to communicate with professionals at all levels - Bilingual (French) preferred but not required.
- 3+ years of purchasing experience is preferred.
