About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Agent to join our team at Max Wholesale Inc. as a Procurement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase and Procurement
    • Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services from suppliers.
    • Develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased.
    • Negotiate offers from suppliers and review quotations.
    • Establish delivery schedules and monitor progress.
  • Supplier Management
    • Consult with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods.
    • Contact clients and suppliers to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Provide customer service and support to internal stakeholders.
    • Manage and maintain accurate records of procurement activities.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Work Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent full-time position with a 32.5-hour workweek. The language of work is English.
