As an HR Generalist your key responsibilities will include:

  • Administer policies, procedures and programs as well as promoting positive employee relations.
  • Recruitment, candidate screening & assessments selecting the most qualified candidates.
  • Develop and maintain network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Plan and deliver employee engagement programs or events.
  • Assist in learning administration including course selection and annual learning plan development.
  • Consult on performance management ensuring proper documentation and handling termination employment matters.
  • Employee disability and worker’s compensation claims management.
  • Maintain confidential, accurate, and up to date employee files and HRIS data.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management (undergraduate degree with concentration in HR or undergraduate degree with post grad HR specialization).
  • Experience in Human Resources and/or a CPHR designation would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations in a fast paced, diverse environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
