TalentWorld is recruiting an Accounts Payable Specialist in South Area of Winnipeg, Manitoba for one of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Process invoices in SAP with accuracy.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on invoice matters.
  • Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
  • Maintain Accounts Payable records and petty cash.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls professionally.
  • Assist with client inquiries and office tasks.
  • Schedule meetings and manage office supplies.
  • Sort and manage incoming and outgoing mail.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related finance roles.
  • Proficiency in SAP is mandatory; hands-on experience with SAP Upgrade projects is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and general ledger accounting.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvements.
Employment Details
  • Salary: $23.00HR - $25.00HR
  • Benefits: 40 hours weekly, Contract, Fulltime, Onsite
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
  • Other: 6-month contract with potential for career growth and extension.
