The Regional Clinical Specialist is responsible for supporting and promoting profitable business results through the execution of current Convatec business strategies and promoting high level customer relationships via clinical support for the sales, and marketing teams. This role is a key stakeholder and participant on the design and implementation of the business strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Contribution to the development of the business in top regional accounts through clinical relationships and expertise. Partner with clinical leads at strategic accounts within the region, such as GPOs, key hospitals, Long Term Care and community to deliver broader impact across the region. Provide assigned regional training utilizing clinical subject matter expertise; partner with marketing/RBMs to give input, guidance and deliver training to sales team. Coordination with Sales & Marketing of clinical education programs and product education inclusive of clinical study/paper reviews. Act as a clinical expert, providing ongoing clinical input and leadership to field sales and marketing as an input into strategy, marketing messaging, collateral and training. Educate and support customers at all levels and in key strategic accounts including clinicians, (nurses, administrators, purchasing, physicians), patients, caregivers and product end users. Assist with the development of clinical case studies and clinical customers interested in developing posters, white papers and journal articles as directed. Partner with Marketing to develop and conduct clinical events prioritized by Leadership. Effectively drives clinical projects from start to completion while utilizing project management skills to reach strategic objectives. Provide ongoing training to sales team members and marketing on clinical objection handling on top objections from customers. Demonstrate an expert level of knowledge of the entire Wound/Critical Care/Ostomy product line (along with a working knowledge of other business unit product lines) and will continue to build on that knowledge in order to support the sales and marketing team to provide clinical support & clinical evaluation of products at the customer level. On-going knowledge of market activity and competitive products and programs is essential. Guides and drives clinical and product education through an advisory role to our customers (both internal and external) & employees regarding Convatec formularies, protocol, policies and procedures. (This includes assisting marketing with development and implementation of internal and external product education programs). Provide in-servicing and related activities to educate customers on product usage. Partner with Marketing to create & develop innovative ways to educate customers and provides clinical support with National organizations.

Travel Requirements: Yes

Travel is required for this position and equates to approximately 50-60% of the individual's time. Persons applying for this position should reside within the geography of the region that the position is supporting.

Language Skills Required:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required English required; French an asset

Education/Qualifications:

Nursing degree is required. Prefer certification in Wound and/or Ostomy – NSWOC certification; or IIWCC

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience and 2 years of sales and business (or equivalent) experience is preferred, along with cross-functional experiences in working with marketing and sales. Previous sales experience is desired. Must be able to communicate & present product and product related clinical information and evidence based opinions clearly and concisely. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Cross-functional experiences in working with teams and/or leading and supporting wound or ostomy support groups. Ability to inspire and motivate others through action is critical in this role Project management skills to effectively drive projects from start to completion required.

Competencies:

Maintenance of RN license and/or related certification (S)NSWOC or IIWCC) will demonstrate competency. Displays a strong customer understanding and is able to anticipate true customer needs. Competent in Microsoft programs including MS Office. Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, motivational interviewing / coaching, and interpersonal skills. Public speaking experience preferred. Published in peer review publications preferred. Regionally or nationally recognized preferred. Additional working knowledge of Convatec processes

Working Conditions:

Incumbent will spend a significant amount of time traveling May have to work evenings & weekends. Travel is required for this position and equates to approximately 50-60% of the individual's time. Collaboration avec les responsables cliniques des comptes stratégiques de la région, tels que les Groupes d'Achats, les hôpitaux clés, les soins de longue durée et la communauté, pour avoir un impact étendu dans toute la région. Fournir à la région assignée une formation utilisant une expertise clinique tout en s'associant à l'équipe de formation commerciale pour livrer des informations et des conseils de formation à l'équipe de vente. Coordination avec les ventes et le marketing des programmes de formation clinique et de formation sur les produits, y compris les revues d'études cliniques/articles. Agir en tant qu'expert clinique, en fournissant une contribution clinique continue et un leadership aux ventes et au marketing sur le terrain en tant que contribution à la stratégie, aux messages marketing, aux pièces destinées à la force de vente et à la formation. Éduquer et soutenir les clients à tous les niveaux et dans les comptes stratégiques clés, y compris les cliniciens (infirmières, administrateurs, achats, médecins), les patients, les soignants et les utilisateurs de produits. Fournir une formation continue aux membres de l'équipe commerciale et marketing sur les objections cliniques et les principales objections des clients. Démontrer un niveau expert de connaissance de l'ensemble de la gamme de produits pour les plaies, les soins intensifs et les stomies (ainsi qu'une connaissance pratique des gammes de produits d'autres unités commerciales) et s'appuyer sur ces connaissances afin d'aider l'équipe de vente et de marketing à fournir un soutien clinique et une évaluation clinique des produits aux clients. Une connaissance continue de l'activité du marché et des produits et programmes concurrents est essentielle. Guider et animer la formation clinique et sur les produits en jouant un rôle consultatif auprès de nos clients (internes et externes) et de nos employés concernant les formulaires, protocoles, politiques et procédures Convatec. Formation/qualifications :

Un diplôme en sciences infirmières est requis. Préférablement une certification en plaies et/ou stomies – certification NSWOC ; ou IIWCC

Expérience:

Un minimum de 5 ans d'expérience clinique et 2 ans d'expérience en vente et en affaires (ou équivalent) est préférable, ainsi qu'une expérience interfonctionnelle de travail avec le marketing et les ventes. Une expérience antérieure en vente est souhaitée. Doit être capable de communiquer et de présenter le produit et les informations cliniques liées au produit ainsi que les opinions fondées sur des preuves de manière claire et concise. Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et verbale requises. Expériences interfonctionnelles de travail avec des équipes et/ou de direction et de soutien de groupes de soutien aux plaies ou aux stomies. La capacité d'inspirer et de motiver les autres par l'action est essentielle dans ce rôle. Compétences en gestion de projet pour mener efficacement les projets du début à la fin requises.

Compétences :

Le maintien de la licence d'infirmière autorisée et/ou de la certification connexe (S)NSWOC ou IIWCC) démontrera la compétence. Fait preuve d'une solide compréhension du client et est capable d'anticiper les véritables besoins des clients. Compétence dans les programmes Microsoft, y compris MS Office. Excellentes compétences en communication verbale, en négociation, en entretien motivationnel/coaching et en relations interpersonnelles. Expérience en présentations devant un public souhaitée.
