Position Title: Senior New Business Administrator
Reports To: Manager, Individual New Business
Department: Individual New Business Coordination
Term: Temporary Full-Time – Eighteen (18) month contract
Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
The Opportunity: Equitable is growing We are looking for 3 Senior New Business Administrators to join our Individual New Business team
The ideal candidate has experience working within the insurance industry or a willingness to learn; offers exceptional attention to detail and time management skills and has a knack for providing outstanding service to both internal and external clients.

What you will be doing:
- Process, input, issue and settle life insurance applications while adhering to established quality and service standards
- Ensure that application details and corresponding documents are received; confirm all requirements are met and identify anything outstanding; verify information is accurate and complete
- Verify that all pertinent information and requirements have been met prior to policy settlement
- Ensure accurate and efficient correspondence and handling of medical lab requests and results, Attending Physician Statements, MIB's etc. during the underwriting and application life cycle
- Special handling of adjustments, reissues, modifications, commissions, and ratings
- Ensure all documents are properly created prior to sending out Policy instructions
- Follow special instructions from both the Underwriting Department such as ratings and from the Advisors such as payment changes etc
- Interact with MGA's, advisors, other insurance carriers, medical vendors & practitioners and internal departments
What you will bring:
- Sound knowledge of Windows/Office and web-based applications
- Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail
- Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to manage daily fluctuations in work volumes, adaptable to change in direction as needed
- French language skills are an asset; specifically, an ability to read and provide written correspondence in French
