We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist for Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta. A successful candidate is required to work as per the company values: Safety, Caring, Integrity, Excellence, Team spirit and Financial responsibility. The position reports to the HR Manager and works closely with the General Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Managing day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties.
  2. Maintaining employee records physically and electronically.
  3. Maintaining HR records by recording new hires, terminations, changes in job classifications, tracking leave of absence, etc.
  4. One stop shop for answering all employee-related queries about HR policies and programs.
  5. Onboarding new hires, delivering Orientation presentation.
  6. Supporting management in audits and annual performance reviews.
  7. Coordinating health and safety needs.
  8. Developing and facilitating monthly meetings and training as required by legislation.
  9. Organizing and coordinating staff accommodation (arrivals and departures).
  10. Assisting accounting with payroll process and procedures (seasonal during winter months).
  11. Assisting with the recruitment, selection, and hiring process.
  12. Assist in conducting Workplace Investigations.
  13. Assist in Terminations, Evictions (Staff Accommodation), and Progressive Disciplinary discussions.
  14. Fulfilling the full-cycle recruitment process efficiently and effectively.
  15. Ensuring WCB claims are filed and return to work efforts are maximized.
Requirements:
  • Passion for hospitality, friendly, and approachable.
  • Natural skills in: Coordination, Organization, Administration, Time Management, and Multi-Tasking.
  • Enjoys engaging with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or certification is an asset.
  • 1 year of Human Resources experience is preferred.
  • People First philosophy is required.
  • Must have a valid Canadian Work Permit.
  • IT literacy to learn and work with multiple information systems, including, but not limited to, MS Office, HRIS, payroll, behavioral questionnaire, and applicant tracking system.
  • Strong verbal/written and listening skills.
  • Work onsite at Silvertip Resort on a daily basis (Monday to Friday).
