Job Summary

Monitor, evaluate, adjust and report any abnormal functions of the environmental systems.

Job Duties
  1. Monitor building environmental systems to detect visual or audible alarms
  2. Collect and evaluate data from panels and monitors
  3. Report findings and make recommendations
  4. Maintain a comprehensive log of all incidents and actions
  5. Issue radios, keys and specialty equipment through tagging system
Job Qualifications

Building Environmental Systems Certificate through Energy Management Ontario OR Interprovincial Facilities Training Accreditation Council Certificate (IFTAC) OR Power Engineering Technology Advanced Diploma OR Power Engineering Operating Engineer Certificate

Minimum one year previous work experience in computerized Building Management Systems – (environmental, mechanical, electrical and life safety) – in a large scale, multi-faceted building operation OR pass BOME test

Microsoft Excel and Word and data entry skills (will be tested)

Grade 12 or equivalent

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Ability to lift heavy tools

Must be able to work all shifts

Occasional medium lifting
