Job Title: Bookkeeper - Civil Engineering Firm - Saint Laurent QC

Job Specifics:

  • Location: 100% in-office position in Saint Laurent, QC
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Bilingual (French, English)

Tasks:

  1. Full cycle accounting
  2. Accurately recording daily financial transactions
  3. Preparation of financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  4. Reconciling bank statements and validating balances
  5. Administering payroll and managing employee benefits
  6. Checking financial records for accuracy
  7. Maintaining financial security by following internal controls
  8. TPS/TVQ Reports, DAS

Qualities:

  • Punctual
  • Accuracy: Accuracy is vital due to the nature of the work
  • Detail-oriented: Detail-oriented individuals will thrive in this role due to the complex nature of bookkeeping
  • Confidentiality: Ensure financial information remains confidential
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing financial circumstances and new industry regulations
  • Problem Solver: Ability to solve problems related to accounts and financial transactions
  • Team Player: Ability to coordinate with different departments to ensure accuracy of records

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping (2 years minimum doing full cycle accounting)
  • Experience in Civil Engineering industry an asset
  • Experience in QB Online
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in using financial software
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
