Purpose of this Job
To increase turnover and sell through of pet nutrition purchases from Veterinary Clinics and
Veterinary exclusive online channels. Increase Virbac and clinic profitability through
consistent call coverage and partnership with the clinic medical team and the Virbac TSMs.
Provide required level of sales support after initial placement of Virbac’s Nutrition and the Oral Home care line of products within clinics. The Nutrition Specialist will work closely with the clinic healthcare team, through education, marketing tools, pet owner communication training and dispensing programs to increase turn over of clinic inventory.
Provide clinic guidance on the purchase patterns by segment, including SKU mix and volume expectations. Create engaging communications, leveraging marketing, and content to profitably grow sales in a region.
Work with Virbac TSM’s outside of the region to assist them with implementing similar strategies in clinics.
Area of accountability no.1: Contribution to the achievement of extended sales budget of Nutrition & Oral Home care brands
Main activities
1. Support sales of defined products for the defined region by establishing relationships with the assigned clinics and developing a sales plan based on the clinics market segments.
2. Execute all Sales Programs, including custom local initiatives developed in partnership with the clinic healthcare team, marketing programs as introduced and offer insights to create programs around new opportunities.
3. Supply materials as needed to the clinic for the specific brands including all retail and POP materials, i.e. manuals, signage, collateral material.
4. Be well versed in myVETstore, mollies or the regional appropriate ecommerce platform for Omnichannel sales development through the clinic.
Expected results: Achieve sales budget and growth in the specific diets/pet care line.
Area of accountability no.2: Salesforce (CRM) compliance
Main activities
1. Enter sales calls in Salesforce on a daily basis and update contacts and emails.
2. Enter specific notes on the Nutrition brands & consumable pet care products for the TSM and managers view.
3. Create activities/Events in Salesforce

Nutrition Specialist
Area of accountability no.3: Development of Nutrition and Oral Home care
Main activities
1. Actively works with the TSM and the clinics carrying Virbac pet nutrition and establish a productive re call cycle appropriate for the distance traveled as well as the clinic potential for turnover of skus.
2. Works alongside the healthcare team in the clinic to ensure the marketing tools and sales programs are implemented and adjusting to the uniqueness of the clinic needs to increase new client purchase as well as turnover of the assigned products.
3. Become a Pet Nutrition merchandising expert to the clinic, providing guidance and custom support by using all resources and working with RSM as needed.
4. Develop and train on direct to pet owner communications via the clinic, and transfer knowledge and know how of the successful programs to sales leadership and nutrition marketing teams.
5. Develop an online VetStore Strategy with each clinic and implement a marketing strategy to promote Virbac’s Nutrition and Oral Home Care
Expected results: Call cycle masterey and shared with TSM/and GM. Timely communication with the respective TSM regarding the progress within accounts. Leverage sales call pre- and post-call planning, include follow-up action plans and identified key performance indicators as part of the specific clinic objectives and business plan.
Area of accountability no.4: Corporate Account Responsibility
Main activities
1. Works with Commercial Operations Manager and GM to gain Nutritional listings at Corporate HQ and clinics
2. Performing Corporate Account training on Pet Nutrition, with clinics, teams and HQ of Corporate accounts.
Expected results: Assists with corporate accounts at HeadQuarters to ensure Virbac’s profitability. Assist with enhancing our presence and partnership within the Corporate Account
Area of responsibility 5 : Competitive market intelligence to marketing, technical and all other commercial offers
Main activities
1. Monitor competitive promotional tools, communication objectives, new product launches, and pricing
2. Develop programs to utilize in clinic pet owner dispensing, including programs to increase pet owner breadth of purchasing and consistent routine re-orders.
3. Report back to GM/RSM on clinic needs and requests that will further increase sales turnover (pet owner & clinic orders
Nutrition Specialist
Profile
Education & Experience:
● Bachelor’s Degree, RVT or Business/Marketing diploma preferred
● Previous Nutrition sales experience with accolades and proven success
● RVT Specialist in Nutrition as asset
● Database management or sales support function experience strongly preferred
● English and French languages preferred
