Position: Human Resources / Recruitment Administrator
Position Type: Full time - Permanent
Location: Edmonton, AB.
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday
Position Overview
First Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres, is currently accepting resumes for a seasoned Human Resources / Recruitment Administrator.
Based out of our Edmonton West location the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the administrative duties and assist with recruitment process from job requisition approval to candidate onboarding. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, extraordinary multitasking skills, and a passion for providing an exceptional candidate experience.

Primary Job Functions
- Facilitate the job requisition approval process, ensuring all necessary information is gathered and approvals are obtained.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to gather detailed information about job requirements and candidate qualifications.
- Work closely with Recruitment Business Partner to create and post job advertisements in accordance with job posting guidelines.
- Assist with reviewing resumes and applications to identify top candidates for further consideration.
- Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring teams, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Track and maintain recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
- Conduct reference checks for selected candidates to verify their qualifications and experience.
- Assist with the completion of hiring paperwork and documentation for selected candidates.
- Develop and send follow-up communications to candidates, including next steps and satisfaction surveys to gather feedback on the recruitment process.
- Develop questions to efficiently screen and identify qualified candidates.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a H.R. Administrator or junior recruiter.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems.
