New Delhi Deli is a unique culinary destination nestled in the heart of Covent Garden Market in London, Ontario. As a small, family-owned business, we pride ourselves on offering an authentic taste of Indo-Fijian cuisine, prepared with love and tradition.

We are looking for a Food Manager to oversee all culinary and operational aspects of the restaurant. The Food Manager will manage the kitchen, including overseeing production of all food items and ordering, as well as assisting in all culinary tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, as well as outstanding leadership skills.

Duties and responsibilities
Manage kitchen, including production of food items and ordering, as well as assisting in all culinary tasks.
Assist in developing training programs for all kitchen sta. Assist in developing and implementing performance standards for all kitchen staff.
Ensure that all food is prepared and served in accordance with the company’s quality standards.
Ensure that all plates are properly cleaned prior to each service.
Ensure that proper sanitation procedures are followed at all times while serving food or beverages.
Ensure that proper sanitization procedures are followed at all times while serving any products from the kitchen.
Ensure that proper cleaning procedures are followed at all times while preparing food from the kitchen.
Ensure that proper sanitization procedures are followed at all times while preparing beverages from the kitchen.
Ensure that proper sanitation practices are followed at all times while preparing for or serving events from the kitchen (e.g., weddings, banquets, etc.).
Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, including tables, counters, floors, walls, and cooking areas.
Prepare and cook dishes from scratch using a variety of Caribbean and Indian spices.
Butcher and cook various meats including duck, goat, oxtail, beef mince and pork

Experience:
Management experience preferred. Cooking experience required. Extensive knowledge of cooking Indo-Fijian & Caribbean Cuisine from scratch. Proficiency in blending Caribbean and Indian spices.
Education: AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred), Diploma in Culinary Management
Experience: Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
Language: English (preferred), Hindi (preferred)
Licence/Certification: Smart Serve (preferred)
Shift availability: Night Shift (preferred)
Valid driver's license
