**About the role**: Reporting to the general manager and ownership team, the kitchen lead will be responsible for overseeing all back of house aspects of our new beer kitchen as well as lead a team of chefs, ensuring the smooth operation of culinary activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitors performance of senior sous chef and sous chefs in various departments. These departments include but are not limited to catering and production.
- Works directly with management to ensure disseminated systems are being completed in an appropriate manner.
- Works directly with culinary operations manager and senior sous chefs to ensure proper labour management procedures are being followed in the interest of both kitchens meeting goals set out for labour percentages.
- Communicate to sous chefs regarding weekly/monthly tasks and goals. Assisting in day-to-day tasks when required to complete these tasks/goals.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of all food and beverage operations are kept to company standard. This includes but is not limited to everything that exists within the clubhouse and canteen kitchens.
- Ensure operations are adhering to food safety guidelines and company standards regarding health and safety.
- Provide management and staff with the tools required to execute day to day tasks. This includes but is not limited to equipment, training, direction, systems, and leadership.
- Provide constructive feedback to staff and supervisors on a day to day/monthly basis**.**:

- Other duties as assigned.
- 5 years practical experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
- 2 years practical experience leading a culinary team.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiar with industry best practices.
- Highly motivated to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule.
- Capable of conducting and assessing inventory.
- Smart Serve and Food Handlers Certificate.
- Record check.

**Work Conditions**:

- Must be able to stand for long for a minimum of eight (8) hour shift.
