Accountabilities
- Key accountabilities related include Budgeting and Forecasting, Monthly Financial Statements and Monthly Financial Reporting.
- Provide guidance to accounting services staff with regard to accounting policy.
- Oversight of the accounting information systems.
- Accountabilities related to daily cash management & reconciliation of Everlink’s primary operating cash account.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the staff of the Accounts Payable function, which is carried out by the Accounts Payable Specialist and Accounting Specialist. Ensure Everlink’s vendor payments administration is performed in a timely and accurate manner each month and that vendors are paid at appropriate intervals.
- Supervise two Financial Analysts to provide guidance in their duties and support their career progression. The Financial Analysts are focused on the cost side of the business, fixed assets, taxation, time reporting and payroll accounting.
- Control, daily reporting, and overnight investment management of Everlink’s Operating Cash bank accounts. Month-end reconciliation of the main operating bank account and oversight of the other operating bank account reconciliations.
- Perform Monthly Forecasting of Revenues, Operating Expenses, Amortization Expenses, and Compensation expenses. Forecast numbers provided by the Vice President will be incorporated into the Overall Forecast prepared by the Financial Reporting Manager.
- Coordinate Everlink’s annual Budget in September through November of each fiscal year, including meeting with Vice Presidents, General Managers, and the Vice President of Finance & Controller.
- Prepare and distribute Monthly Departmental P&L Reports and the Monthly Finance Flash Report, ad-hoc Quarterly and/or Annual Expense Analysis Reports as requested by the VP, Finance & Controller.
- Interact with other members of the Everlink Finance Team to ensure accurate general ledger classifications and timing of operating expenses. Work with Everlink’s various departments to ensure accurate information and data related to operating expenses and to enable proper accrual and deferrals of expenses.
- Assist in the Month-end review of Everlink Payment Services' financial statements, including the Income Statement and Balance Sheet, and prepare the monthly Cash Flow Statement.
- Maintain General Ledger Account Reconciliations as required for General Expense Accrued Liabilities.
- Manage Everlink’s annual financial audit with key responsibilities concerning Cash, operating expenses, CAPEX and taxation.
- Oversee the preparation of Financial Statements, including Notes Preparation for the Audited Financial Statements.
- Oversee any upgrades and augmentations to Everlink’s accounting systems.

About You
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher, including a Master of Business Administration, preferably with a major in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a recognized accounting designation (CPA).
- The designated individual is current in their continuing education requirements of said designation and continues to keep their relevant skill set up to date.
- Experience managing a team of 1 to 3 individuals.
- Experience in the financial and/or IT industry as it relates to their role is preferred.
- 5 to 7 years in general accounting, with experience in Revenue and Operating Expense, Accounting and Balance Sheet Accounts within the payments or technology industry.
- 5 to 7 years working with month-end accounting, including preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Experience with a timekeeping system such as Replicon.
- Experience with accounting for Fixed Assets and Intangible assets.
- 3+ years of experience with computerized accounting programs such as MS Great Plains, Peoplesoft, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.
- Experience in oversight of accounts payable automation systems (Beanworks, Concur).
Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office experience, primarily with MS Excel, MS Word, and possibly MS PowerPoint.
- Strong Excel experience, including Pivot Tables and linked spreadsheets.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
