About your next challenge as Technical Lead CT114 – Structural Engineering

What will you do:

  1. Work in the stress department;
  2. Develop modifications and reparations as well as defining maintenance programs for the CT-114 aircraft;
  3. Utilize advanced engineering tools and software for structural modeling, simulation, and optimization;
  4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of structural engineers;
  5. Coordinate and distribute workload among team members, ensuring efficient project execution;
  6. Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget;
  7. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders to achieve project objectives;
  8. Ensure that all designs and analyses comply with applicable regulations and industry best practices;
  9. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient fabrication and assembly processes;
  10. Communicate technical concepts and project status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  11. Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies as necessary.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering (aeronautic option, preferable);
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the structural engineering field;
  • Knowledge of composite materials is an asset;
  • Knowledge in software like: NASTRAN, PATRAN, Hypermesh, CATIA, MSOffice;
  • Ability to communicate and to work in multidisciplinary groups;
  • Autonomy & resourcefulness;
  • Knowledge of the CT-114 fleet is an asset;
  • Knowledge of the design and fleet maintenance process is an asset;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is a must.

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada "Reliability" status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
  • Location not accessible via public transportation, car required.
